Washing Precautions
Tencel fabrics should be washed gently by hand or on the gentle cycle in a machine. The water temperature should not exceed 30°C. Excessive temperatures may cause the fibers to stiffen or shrink. Use a neutral detergent and avoid using cleaning products containing bleach or strong alkalinity to avoid damaging the fiber structure. If machine washing, it is recommended to turn Tencel fabrics inside out and place them in a laundry bag to reduce friction with other rough clothing.
Airing and Drying
Tencel fabrics are highly absorbent. After washing, gently press or lay them flat to drain. Avoid wringing to prevent deformation. Air dry in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, as ultraviolet rays can brittle the fibers and cause discoloration. If drying is necessary, use a low setting and air dry when partially dry to maintain the fabric's softness.
Ironing and Storage
When ironing Tencel fabric, it is recommended to place a thin cloth under the fabric and use a medium-low steam iron to avoid direct contact with high temperatures, which may cause the fibers to melt or cause a mirrored finish. When storing, ensure the garment is completely dry. Fold it and place it in a well-ventilated wardrobe to avoid prolonged hanging, which may cause deformation. Keep it away from moisture and insects.
